Dear Resident,
We’re halfway through the quarter and your local neighbourhood team has been tackling the issues you’ve told us matter most in the Eastern sector of Peterborough.
These involve drug dealing in Eastgate, nuisance vehicles and retail crime.
Work includes meeting with partner agencies to discuss issues in Eastgate, conducting high visibility patrols and protecting vulnerable people by combatting cuckooing. This is where a vulnerable person’s property is taken over by other people, often to sell drugs.
The team have also partnered with the City Council to combat parking issues, dealt with anti-social behaviour in Boongate and seized a large quantity of suspected stolen goods from a car boot sale.
I hope this gives you a brief snapshot of some of the work the team has been doing to address the issues that matter to you. You can find out more information on our website.
If you’d like officers to focus on another issue, please look out for details of quarterly priority community meetings. These will be promoted via eCops and also on the Policing Peterborough Facebook page.
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
Tim Goddard Communications officer |
